Installing FTP Server software on your PC

Setting up an FTP Server:
1. Download Software: Fastream NETFile FTP
http://www.fastream.com/netfileserver.htm
2. Install the NetFileServer.exe
3. Restart machine
4. Click Fastream NETFile Server GUI shortcut on the desktop
First login user: root
First login pass: (press space bar 4 times. password is 4 spaces)

5. Chek IIS through the Services if started. Stop IIS if running so that you can use port 21 especially for Dreamweaver MX connection which always llok for port 21.
6.In server Manager tab Click Add FTP server, name it accordingly to your purpose. Example: rapid
This will create a new tab called FTP-rapid
7. With the created FTP tab go to users tab and Create Group
8. Create users for each group
9. Assign folders to access with permission for each user. Set its home page.
10. In the option tab of the FTP tab set the listening IP to to the IP address of your PC server.
11. Set listening Port to 21.
12. Got to status tab of FTP tab and click Start. This will start the service

NOTE: Make sure to change the root user password:
1. Go to Server Manager tab and click on Current Admin user setting tab.
Replace password and reenter it in the confirm password.
2. Click Apply.
